Why get a business card? Marketing of course!

That small piece of stock paper with the graphics and wording on it can speak volumes for you and your business. It’s one of the important things in your business’s life that will leave a lasting impression when you’ve left a room. Why?

Let’s say for an example that you just finished a meeting with a potential client and you’re feeling good about it so far. What to do next before turning and walking out the door? My suggestion would be to offer your business card.

How to Reach YouAssuming you have one, it should contain all the necessary information for contacting you for starters. A plus is the name of your company, a slogan of sorts and of course, your name.

Now, what else would be good to go on it? What about the address to your website? There just might be some piece of information that the potential client may want to refresh their memory about but without the website’s address they’ll need to call you. This isn’t necessarily bad but a well-designed website will also speak well about you and your business plus afford a visitor plenty of information to aid in deciding whether to do business with you or not.

In my opinion, the card should reflect the design of the website or carry the company logo at the very least. A good first impression will count heavily toward you getting your client’s business. A well-designed business card can help keep that good first impression alive.

That’s a good way to market your business.
